Last episode, we really dove into stress management strategies and what I'm doing to better manage my emotional eating.

And so we're gonna pivot here and we're going to talk more about the nutrition strategies, the healthy eating behaviors that I'm going to be prioritizing, that I have been prioritizing this pregnancy.

The thing that I'm doing to help me hopefully not gain as much weight during this pregnancy is that I'm eating bigger meals.

I'm eating more calories that are filled with nutrient-dense options like foods that are higher in protein, foods that are high in fiber, high in volume, making sure there's enough carbs and fats in it.

Because looking back I can see that my meals were not big enough, which led to a lot of mindless snacking in between meals as well as at night.

And that's, for me, especially for a lot of my clients, I always tell them that's one of the biggest triggers is when your meals are not big enough, when they're not satisfying enough, that is when we have excess calories in foods that don't have a lot of nutrients in them.

Those things that are not, quote unquote, bad, but they're not going to fill you up.

A really big salad with chicken and a bunch of vegetables, and you'll have quinoa, and avocado, and healthy fats in it.

The chips and the ice cream, it's gonna be so much easier to overeat them if your meals are not big enough for your specific body.
