Navaratri Fall 2026 - Night 8: The Grand Night

They have big concerts, chanting, singing, dancing all night long.

And some get in trouble.

because they want to stay awake.

People end up doing very funny things when they are forcing things.

But a devotee is truly awake, waiting, waiting, not nagging.

Baba used to say, when mind becomes tired, it becomes easier to find God, because then heart opens.

As long as we are looking for that presence through mind, we are never going to get there.

Mind takes something and makes it a finite.

makes it limited, puts it in a box.

How could that presence be put in a box that permeates everywhere? That mother shakti is in our wishes and desires, in our happiness, in our sadness, in our joy, in our celebration, in our suffering.

She's everywhere.

She has her hand in everything.

The day we really come to understand this, the sense of I disappears.

It disappears.

Because it is from a sense of I we have our wishes and desires and our needs and 99.9% people pray to Ma to fulfill their wishes and desires.

But in our tradition you go beyond your limited sense of needs and desires.

How can you go beyond? Trust.

Trust.

Trust.

So if I have to sum up the observance of Navaratri, it's a celebration of love and trust.

Love and trust.

Devotion is a path that we walk on.

And we express our devotion in so many different ways.

Here we are doing this, if you notice from the very beginning, we started with just on the altar, we invited Ma with mantras and just put a little pitcher and coconut and the flowers kept growing.

And if you look at the flowers, suman, good heart.
