Navaratri Fall 2026 - Day 2: Perfect Moments

Holding a flower in our hand.

Flower is called suman.

Su-man, good heart, purity of heart.

Purity of heart and pure consciousness.

There is no story.

There's nothing mixed in there.

When thinking of my pure self, with my sweet open heart, I walk to Ma.

That is pure devotion.

[clears throat] Devotion is not to fulfill any prayer, any desire, any wish.

Devotion is about merging, being one with.

Many people pray to engage in Navaratri to fulfill certain wishes, desires, this, that.

But the highest form of devotion is merging.

There is no separation.

There is no separation.

All this that we do, puja on the altar, it's all about on the altar, like we started with giving a little shape to Ma, inviting her, and then every day offering flowers.

If you look at this, every single cell of Ma's body is made out of suman, flower that we have offered from the purity of our own heart.

So every action that comes from the purity of our heart constitutes Ma's presence.

Every action that comes from the largeness of the heart, purity of the heart, openness of the heart, Ma is right there.

What happens when our heart is closed? When our heart is closed, there is neither place for me in there or anybody else.

It makes it very difficult to have that union with the heart closed.

This is the observance of love and trust.

To unite, to be one with Ma.

Ma is not separate from me.

She's not separate.

We, in order to give-- express our devotion, we give a name and a form and do all this.
