I'm coming off of teaching four hot yoga classes yesterday and the last one being the most sweatiest of all.
And I am learning what excess pitta is.
and a dehydrated kapha can be it's like my body turned into hard clay you know like last night my stomach was hard and stuff and it was crazy i was like eating uh i was eating coleslaw but i was covered in himalayan salt and then i was chugging water behind it to try to replace all the electrolytes i was like there's got to be something better than this i need to figure it out but I'm learning, I'm like watching Ayurveda in real time with my body, you know, and it's, it's cool, but you know, like, um, not only am I exacerbating vata by pralapa and just talking, talking, talking, talking, and then thinking and moving around, but then the pitta of trying to do the class right in the heat, you know, thinking on the fly.
So it's very interesting watching the two doshas that push kapha and deplete kapha very high and happening but i i mean i don't really have other options at the moment because it's a business and we all live in the real world and we have to make decisions
yeah you should do um you should do just like a simple electrolyte drink i'm sure you probably do just like i call it a rosa elixir it's just salt lime we talked about it before um cane sugar it should be great in the summer There's many things you could do, but it is interesting.
Like, that's how I felt in pregnancy.
And you see yourself, like, how your body is in a certain context and how it just changes and how the doshas just are constantly moving.
So...
Yeah.
Yeah, I am.
And I do electrolyte drinks, but like the amount of sweat, again, because I'm a couple, I have a high water content.
And so to moderate the heat, my body holds a lot of water, but then it all comes out.
And so then trying to get it back in and get it to stick because, you know, I was actually talking to a guy last night and I was like, I don't care how much water you drink.
That doesn't mean you're hydrated.
And I'm not trying to judge you, but like you drink a ton of water, but you're not necessarily hydrated.
I see lots of people who chug water and their skin looks like they have zero Russia in their body at all.
Right.
I, yeah, I know.
I, I, that happens all the time.
Clients will come to me like, I don't understand.
I feel so dry and dehydrated, but I'm like chugging gallons of water every day.
It's, it's not really, it's not all about water.
Yeah.
You're in this interesting spot because it's like, you're not just going to a yoga class for one hour a day.
You're teaching for four.
