First of all, what have we learned in the previous cycle? What have we been doing up till now that we're going to carry across to the new cycle?
That was in the back squat, bench press and deadlift.
We have just tested that in our in-house powerlifting competition.
So we can now see that everybody is strong in those movements.
So we know that as a fact.
From that previous cycle also, we dabbled in Olympic lifting in the power snatch and power clean.
And we got people moving a little bit more thoughtfully rather than going really, really fast.
So how do I execute a back squat whilst maintaining a grip to the floor, a tight brace and posture throughout and so on.
So we slowed people down a little bit more and built a lot more strength.
Awesome.
So we've seen like evidence of improvement, right, of the members across the cycle, like people's numbers have been going up and you can see the change.
Yeah,
definitely.
It's been a great 12-week cycle.
We've seen people come straight from the CrossFit Open, so they were moving fast, maybe moving a little bit more loosely as well.
And we slowed everybody down, got them focusing on strict technique, got them under tension for a long time, put them through a ringer of six by sixes for three weeks.
And now they came out to the side stronger, a little bit more aware of their movement and ready to tackle the next cycle.
Yeah.
And all of that paid off on Saturday in our in-house powerlifting competition, which was great to see so many members testing their one rep maxes and seeing PRs and improvements, which was always great to see.
It's always a really fun event.
So we move forward the new 12 week cycle.
