Dear Christopher and Wendy, thank you so much for your podcast and for all the work you do.

In Theology of the Body, you often speak about how the female body reflects God's love through its capacity to receive, nurture, and bring forth life.

After a traumatic first C-section, I've struggled to understand how this truth applies to my own story.

Although I later had a second C-section, it's the trauma of the first birth that I continue to carry.

At times, I feel as though my body failed me, and I find it difficult to see my body as a gift because it reminds me of that painful experience." How can I understand my body through the lens of Theology of the Body after this trauma, and how can I find healing from it?
Dear Sophia, dear Sophia,

I'm struck by your name, which I know you already know means wisdom, and I hear your heart crying out for wisdom.

And wisdom is a gift of the Holy Spirit, so I'm crying out right now, Lord, Send your spirit into my own heart right now so that I might speak some words of wisdom to Sophia's heart in her seeking wisdom.

What really struck me in the question, Wendy, was when you read Sophia saying, I feel like my body in some way has failed me.

And I want to press into that a little bit because I think that's where the pain is.
