I will have to say, with all of this going on and standard, I have not seen any getaway barrel deck lists yet, folks.
funny, Zach? I spent the majority of last night losing with my getaway barrel brew i lost so many matches in a row this is like the most epic losing streak i may have ever been on and i it was one of those nights where i'm like i gotta get one win before i pack it in i actually don't remember if i got it or not i think i did not um but but boy did i lose a lot with that card it's a combination of the deck is um suspect But also I was getting quite unlucky.
So it was kind of like one of those things where I'm like, I just kind of need one thing to go and it's like full of mulligans and just whiffing on the barrel.
I think I mentioned it, but I didn't realize the impact, which is that even under ideal circumstances, which is that all four of the creature you're trying to hit is in your library, and you have like 40 cards left, you're still only like 80% to hit.
So sometimes, like 20% of the time, even in optimal circumstances, it will just do nothing.
And if you happen to draw one of the creatures, or like it was in your opener and you mulligan it to the bottom so you know it's not, your odds just go way down.
Jeff, I wanted to ask, what creature are you trying to go get with your getaway barrel? What have you decided?
Well, I wanted to really make a perfect deck list before I shared the strategy that I was trying.
And I set that up so many times, and I'd be like, okay, this is like 70% to kill you, with just 13 cards off the top that go to the bottom.
