And yes, it was a pathetic failure.

You know, I am tempted to say a pathetic failure of a season, if you want to, if you want to break down that way, because the Habs are not, they're not in the business of just being a playoff contender.

They're in the business of trying to win Stanley Cups.

And the standard is if you don't win it, you have failed.

And I know there was a lot of good vibing during this run, but they managed to suck the life out of that over the last three games.

You know, it was peaking after game one, and then they just messed the bed and were out quickly and easily and done.

So I guess this is an autopsy, not a celebration.

Hence, the pathetic Saturday drink is tea.

And I will say that, okay, so the reason I say pathetic failure is because the way this ended.

you know, all the goodwill and all the, the things that were built up were summarily destroyed in this last series.

It's hard to say, well, it's not hard to say what happened.

We were going to go into what happened, but I just felt it was an embarrassment.

And, um, and that's what I don't like.

We've talked about how you win and how you lose.

And how you lose matters as much as how you win.

And all season long, this team has won in a very weird way that we said would come back to bite them in the arse.

And definitely that is part of what happened here.

Of course, they did run out of, in fairness, they ran out of steam.
