And it really did start with my grandmother when I was very small, because she was a gardener and she loved her roses.

And I would look forward to the time when she finished her chores every day and that we would go outside and, you know, she would water and, you know, let me water and she would talk to the plants and show me everything about them.

And tell me especially about the roses that I that I could reach Mother Mary through the rose.

So she was a Catholic and a Mexican Catholic, you know, very much in tune with Virgin of Guadalupe and roses and just the magic of the whole thing.

Her... dedication to the rose and the way she she transferred that feeling to me but through love it really felt like it was very loving when i was five my mother came down with tuberculosis And my grandmother was extremely concerned and very afraid that my mother would die.

And she took me in the garden one day and, you know, I really, I think she was mostly the one that was the most upset because she understood so much more than I did.

And my grandmother told me that if I was to look at the rose and ask Mother Mary for help whenever I needed help, And that if I did that, that I wouldn't feel alone because she knew that I missed my mom a lot.

But it became a very important step for me because I realized that knowledge and that idea of making contact through the rose was very special and so it stuck with me you know forever and i attribute that to her first introducing me that way which was very special
