Somebody mentioned it in the chat to me during the watch-along of the match reaction, wasn't it nice to just see a referee go about his job and do it well? And you're never gonna agree with every decision from the referee, but I have to say, this was a marked improvement than the officiating that we've seen in the Premier League.
So I'm going to give the referee and his team today a score of seven, and the audience not too far behind either with a score for the officials of 6.8. Next up, Alisson Becker.
And this is a tricky one to score because he didn't do anything wrong, but we did concede three goals.
So taking it all into account and trying to put a fair balance on it, I'm gonna give him a score of six and a half today.
The audience got a bit lower there with a 5.8, and I can understand where they're coming from because it is tricky to give out higher scores when you concede three.
But he didn't really do much wrong, and the goals that we conceded, you know, maybe one of them I thought he could have done a bit better, the one that he beat that was near post, but I am nitpicking there.
And just when I was talking about making difficult conversations or giving difficult scores, here we have the epitome of how do you judge this? Because going forward, it's almost faultless from Jeremy Frimpong.
And, you know, both of the goals that I can remember from the latter two came down his side.
Now, of course, he isn't wholly at fault for them, but he hasn't moved the needle for me in terms of keeping him around.
The audience with the exact same score there for Jeremy of 6.5. Now, I don't want people to think we're slating him, right? Because obviously going forward, you couldn't but be impressed by that from Jeremy, and it was so great to see him get his goal, but still have the same issues in defense.
