453. Recapping September with Christy Wright, Corteva begins new chapter, IBI Ag and Givaudan choose Indiana + more

Corteva and Vylor are officially their own companies today.

Very big deal.

You know, this has been coming for a long time.

We keep Corteva headquartered here in Indianapolis.

And so, Christy, I think from the perspective of somebody that was very close to the retention project, to working with Corteva, to working with Vylor, what does this mean for Indiana, but for the ag bioscience innovation ecosystem at large?

Well, I think that it is a really exciting day.

It's the start of a new chapter for Corteva and a company that's got such deep Indiana roots.

I was able to tune into the investor day and the new CEO, Luke Kassam, he's got such good energy.

I mean, you could tell when he took the mic, he's got all the enthusiasm you would want from a new CEO.

laid out the strategy for the company and its next chapter, as well as members of the executive team.

And I think it's going to be really important for New Corteva to continue engaging with the Indiana ecosystem.

It's something they talked about related to partnerships and the role that partnerships will play in their future.

But also we know that to be part of Corteva's heritage too.

They're an ecosystem player.

They see a lot of value in partnering not only with higher ed, but also with the startup community and others.

And so I just really look forward to seeing where they're going to take things now that they are on their own.

Yeah, absolutely.

And, you know, we've already kind of seen leading up to the split these little announcements, not little, but these announcements that each of them are putting out about where they're going next.

You know, Corteva has already announced a 50-50 joint venture with Globochem out of Belgium.
