I, I often wonder, you are one of the most talented, uh, African leaders.

Uh, and, uh, you have been tried and tested.

In the language of the ANC, you have gone through the eye of the needle.

Uh, the ANC has invested so much in your development, uh, not just as a cadre servicing South Africans, but, uh, the whole continent, the, the rest of the world.

After such an investment in this important talent, I, I just wonder, what is the ANC doing with you today? What do you wake up officially to do for the ANC every day?

Well, remember the ANC is the leader of society, so you don't have to be doing everything every day for the ANC, you do for society generally.

So I do all sorts of things.

I get invited to meetings to be keynote speaker.

I get invited to the continent.

I do my deployment work in the ANC.

I, yeah, I, I'm still active.

As I said, when I retired from government, that I'm not retiring from life.

Mm.

I'm retiring from government.

So I'm still using what the ANC invested me, in me in the general, not just for ANC.

Yeah.

So there's no role per se properly to say you are the head of-

Oh, I am the-

... elections

No, I'm the chair of the subcommittee on health-

Okay

... and education, science, and technology.

Yes.

Yes.

And I belong to the international relations subcommittee as well.

Yeah.
