Her session is called How to Reset Your Relationship with Money from Scared to Secure.
I think it's so freeing for women when they realize that they don't have to actually look at their checking account every single day, that we can create money systems on the back end that basically tell the money where to go without us having to be in it.
Now, this kind of goes back to like the relationship with money, but money is highly emotional.
Yeah.
Anytime someone checks the bank account or you feel scared of money or, you know, you think about the last time you got an unexpected bill in the mail.
Yes, you cognitively see that number, but it probably creates a lot of emotions inside of you, right? It's that same rollercoaster analogy.
When we systematize things, we take ourselves out of the picture so money can kind of just do what it does and we don't have to be in it all the time.
And that's what I love about the systems approach is to create the systems on the back end so that I don't have to be on that roller coaster all the time.
I was helping them with money and I was just helping them budget, right? And I was getting their system set up and where they were tracking the numbers.
And I thought that that would be the thing that would fix their money problems.
And after working with thousands of families over the years, I kept hitting this block with them.
where I would get them in control of the numbers, and then they still weren't doing the things that they needed to do.
And so I think I did what most coaches will do and kind of got really curious, like, what is actually stopping them? Why are they not making progress on these things that I've given them the solution, right? The solution is just to budget better.
What I found out is that 80% of people that implement a budget will fail within three months.
People will implement the budget.
They will be really good.
They will have the willpower to do it.
And then something happens.
An unexpected expense hits their account.
Summer happens, and the kids are out of school, and so their systems kind of fall apart.
They find themselves falling off track and then they don't get back on.
And then, you know, something happens three months later where they're like, OK, I really got to get this under control.
I really got to figure out my money.
They'll start the budget again.
