As we face more serious storms ahead, be uplifted by the music and Scripture.
All of us can remember famous storms.
And of course, none of us will ever forget Hurricane Andrew because they say that it probably is the most terrible natural disaster ever to come to the United States.
And, of course, here in the Erie area, many people here will never, never, never forget the terrible storm that hit Albion and just devastated it.
Many, many times.
The maximum wind speed was 164 miles per hour.
No wonder roofs blew off.
No wonder trees fell down.
No wonder houses fell flat.
164 miles per hour.
That's pretty bad.
Some 63,000 homes destroyed.
More than 300,000 people homeless for weeks and weeks.
And the cost? Some $30 billion.
All because of a storm.
And probably as each individual here thinks of some of the storms that you have weathered in your family, In your own personal life, maybe storms that you're going through right now, there could not be a price put on that storm.
When we think of heartbreak, runaway children, and mothers and fathers that do not know where their young people are at the present time, on and on, I mean, the hearts that are tragically broken through storms, how could we ever comprehend a price?
When darkness seems to hide his face, I rest on his unchanging grace.
