So we have a release date of January 20th of 2027 for Ahsoka Season 2 and the new trailer.

On Friday night, Lucasfilm President and Chief Creative Executive Officer Dave Filoni took to the Disney Studio Showcase pageant.

Filoni ended up bringing out Rosario Dawson, Hayden Christensen, who's playing an even larger role in season two than he was in season one.

Iman F. Fondi, who of course plays Ezra, and the group teased how this season will be a far bigger story than the previous one.

The stakes are higher, the battles are bigger, and the threat of Thrawn looms large for Ahsoka, her crew, and the entire galaxy.

2027, as Bespin Bulletin writes, is going to start off with strong Star Wars releases.

Dave Filoni confirmed that Season 2 will premiere on Disney+, January 20th, ahead of the 50th anniversary re-release.

And this will also be the original theatrical version of The Empire Strikes Back.

And I think it goes without saying that we'll also get a release of Return of the Jedi later in the year in 2027.

So all three original trilogy movies will be released in theaters this All the theatrical releases minus any of the special edition changes that were made to the versions that we've been enjoying over the course of the past several years.

There has been a lot of discussion and news around the fact that Ahsoka Season 2 wouldn't have as big of a budget as Season 1 did.

What would that mean for production? What I think is really interesting is not only based off of Dave Filoni's comments that we could anticipate many large space battles, or I should say space battles, large space battles in Ahsoka Season 2, which is clearly the case as in the teaser trailer, it looks as if they showed no less than three different locations for three different major space battles.

And now we have the footage from the trailer, which shows that this season, at least this is what they want us to believe, is going to be action-packed.

And I have a quick theory on this, going back to the fact that we're looking at a smaller budget.

I can't help but wonder that, and I want to add into another comment made by some Disney executives saying that they would be utilizing AI technology.

I can't help but wonder if they've decided to go ahead and utilize AI in order to... take advantage of it to create these massive space battles.
