Emily WilderHostCo-HostHostI am from Australia, but I've been working here in the United States for about 15 years, again, as an artist, both in acting, directing, choreography, more recently now playwriting.
All different aspects of the theater I've touched as an artist, and it's quite literally been the majority of my adult life.
This is what I've done my entire adult life, and I think it's, will be the last thing that I do for the rest of my [laughs] life.
How do you audition? How do you move about the stage, movement work, things like speaking with distinction, right? That kind of thing.
But since grad school I've been engaging in a ton of theatrical research, which has led to several amazing projects for the past three years now going on four years.
Unfortunately, I mean, it's not that it's a bad thing that I moved away from astronomy.
I found not just my voice, but, you know, who I am as a person in theater, and it's not like I don't still love astronomy.
I mean, I got a bloody doctorate in it, but, you know, it's more about what theater has done for me as a whole human as opposed to, oh, I just am educated in this one topic.
