Here's a quick video I've done after a game I've played recently. These shooting change are massive, the mission changes and the terrain changes are all making for good fast shooting being powerful!

Now, I think perhaps early on and perhaps still, people think that 11th is gonna be some melee-dominated meta game, right? We saw some early changes, things like overrun, stay hidden.

Now, when we recorded the podcast a couple of months ago, I actually said, "I think stay hidden is probably not gonna be that useful," because fifteen-inch lone operative is not really that good because eighteen-inch lone operative is not even that good in the game as it currently stands.

And I think from my testing that has shown to be true, and from the stream games, stay hidden doesn't really come up that much, right? So that's a combination of the way that the terrain and objectives, I'm just gonna call them terrain, the way that the terrain is placed and the sizing of the ruins now.

The actual ruins that Games Workshop are using on the terrain plates has a big impact into the new meta, I think.

We are no longer living in the world where you will sit behind a closed L-shaped ruin on the terrain.

No, you're gonna be on the inverse, for example, and I'll show you on TTS what I mean.

In here, you could be on this ruin and you could be seen from basically anyone that's right here, right? Like if, if I'm, if I'm in here, then I could be seen from, you know, any ballista strip and all that basically moves from a deployment zone straight into there.

And conversely, if I was wanting to be on this terrain piece and behind the ruin this way, I would easily be able to be seen down here, right? And these aren't exact replicas of the GW terrain, but it is rather trivial.

As opposed to maybe WTC or even some Games Workshop, but mainly UKTC as it currently stands, their terrain formats you could easily stand in a ruin that would previously be a hard L shape like this, and that is no longer the case.

And I think this has a huge impact for some archetypes in the game and is really gonna be hard for some armies like Black Templars or melee armies in particular.
