It was luck, but that luck only came about because I was in the room having the sorts of conversations and being open to meeting those sorts of people.

And, and for a business to be really successful, you're gonna have to get lucky multiple times.

Ninety-nine out of a hundred of the bands that are signed fail, and the one that succeeds is not necessarily the one that the label put all the money into or thought was going to succeed.

You should do your best, and you should try to surround yourself with capable, competent people who you actually enjoy spending time with because you're gonna spend time with them.

When I was talking to VCs three, four years ago about what I was planning to do, that idea that I was trying to build a profitable business was not very well received.

It seems to me that there is a lot more respect for the idea now that actually if you can get your business to profitability, then your runway is infinite.
