Well, I want you to open your Bibles to Mark chapter 4, Mark chapter 4.

And I want to pick up on something that Brother Jesse said last night.

He just made mention of it, but he talked about naming your seed.

How important it is to name your seed.

And I have something that the Lord gave to me for us in preparation for the healing service to be able to name our seed today.

But let's take a look at this first.

The concept, the biblical idea of naming our seed.

Mark 4:26: So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground, and should sleep and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knows not how.

For the earth brings forth fruit of herself, first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.

But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.

You know, when I was growing up, my grandfather had a tremendous garden.

And he worked that garden.

He took care of that garden.

But one of the things that fascinated me as a child was that he would take the seed packet and nail it to a board, a stick, and stick it in the ground.

He named the seed.

He named the fruit that he was going to have.

Well, in this particular instance, the farmer named his seed corn.

And so he expected a harvest of corn.

And he chose the seed that would give him the results that he desired.

Our seeds do whatever we tell them to do.

Amen.

I'll say it again.

Our seeds do whatever we tell them to do.

And there's biblical background for that.

In Psalm 104:14: He causes the grass to grow for the cattle and the herb or the seed for the service of man, that he may bring forth fruit out of the earth.
