It has to be Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah, which was the Leonard Cohen classic.

I used to be in a band.

If you ever, if you go on YouTube and you look up Zoot, Z-O-O-T, and look up Eleanor Rigby, I was the guitar player in this band.

It was like a three or four-piece band, and I arranged this version of Eleanor Rigby that was, it's, to me now, it sounds like Black Sabbath, although I'd never heard Black Sabbath back then.

But it's, um, uh, a lot of, uh...

Oh, there we are.

So what was up with the pink thing? Why-

Uh, well, they had a theme called Think Pink, Think Zoot.

Daryl Cotton was born in 1949 and is not a part of Quicksilver Messenger Service, unlike the prior two.

Nope, he is an Australian rock singer and television host who found fame as being the front man for the late 60s pop rock group Zoot.

Alice DeBure was born in 1949.

She is the drummer for Fanny, one of the very first all-female rock bands to sign with a major record label and achieve critical acclaim.

Australian singer, TV presenter.

You look at the work that they did all those years ago with Zoot.

I think he then had that solo hit some years later, late 70s, early part of the 80s maybe, Same Old Girl, which he co-wrote.

For several years, of course, worked with Russell Morris and Jimmy Keys.

They were massively popular and successful right across Australia.

Daryl Cotton, we remember you fondly.

And it was this time that they, in the late 60s, Zoot went into a studio and recorded this.

It was one of the most unlikely hits when you think about it, given that the Beatles were all ago and then Zoot recorded this amazing version.
