Zooniverse

Um, there's a long history of, um, having a lot of, a lot of eyes looking at this data can, can find really unique and interesting features, and of, um, object and discovery.

And so, um, with that understanding of how amazing LSST will be for citizen science, um, Rubin and the Zooniverse have had a, uh, collaboration.

So the Zooniverse, um, uh, if, if you don't know about it, I would encourage you to go check it out right away.

And so, um, and, uh, so combining Rubin data with the Zooniverse platform is something we're, we're kind of working on.

Searching this vast dataset for faint moving objects required more eyes than any research team could provide.

In 2017, NASA launched a citizen science project called Backyard Worlds, Planet 9, hosted on the Zooniverse platform.

The project invited volunteers to examine short animations of WISE images.
