7 MINS LATER

DylanHOST
57:29
Milan's having an off night and then the other guy needs a break.
DylanHOST
57:34
Who is going to be that next guy? Who is going to be that guy that steps up? Is it going to be a Malachi Marino? It's not going to be a Malachi Marino if he's only getting up four shots.
DylanHOST
57:42
Is it going to be a Zoom Diallo? Is it going to be a McBride? Is it going to be Mason Williams, who we haven't even talked about tonight? Mason Williams, also true freshman, comes in 10 points, three assists, one turnover.
DylanHOST
57:53
Who is going to be that guy? Because that also goes to, I think, substitutions, what we've talked about, Colton.
Greg PetersonHOST
25:04
He's joining me right here on Coast to Coast Hoops, and how about if we go with another nice controversial team out there in the SEC? That'd be Kentucky, because everyone always has something to say about Kentucky, and...
Greg PetersonHOST
25:15
I think that Zoom Diallo, going to be a relatively good facilitator.
Greg PetersonHOST
25:19
I have to love the fact that Malachi Moreno is back.
Greg PetersonHOST
25:21
Milan Mamcelevic, he's going to be a great three-point shooter, but it feels like this is a team that's just sort of destined for the middle of this conference.
Greg PetersonHOST
25:32
I would also like to see a little bit more oomph, a little bit more three-point shooting outside of Mamcelevic from this team as well.
Greg PetersonHOST
25:39
So I think it's a very interesting team especially with the old mark mitchell situation him now being at missouri if he plays for missouri
Blake LovellGUEST
25:47
yeah and i think that's what's interesting about kentucky is you know other than milan as she talked about i mean he's the best shooter in the country and that's going to carry a lot of weight i think in a mark pope offensive system but if you look at the four other positions in that starting lineup for kentucky i think you really need you know high level like breakout type guys and i know you could argue well as zoom diallo but I have already broke out Malachi Moreno towards the end of last year a little bit.
Blake LovellGUEST
26:11
You know, Alex Wilkins, obviously, a guy who can score and such.
Michael BennettHOST
21:02
The guard play was fun to watch.
Michael BennettHOST
21:04
Zoom Diallo was fun to watch.
Michael BennettHOST
21:07
And I was very impressed by that.
Michael BennettHOST
21:09
So I was happy about that.
Vince WolframHOST
18:47
Excited to watch him in a Kentucky jersey.
Vince WolframHOST
18:49
I thought Zoom Diallo was terrific in that exhibition game against Little Rock.
Vince WolframHOST
18:53
He might not have been his scoring Washington Powerball dominant self, but he showed how variation can be included in his game and how it can help those around him.
Vince WolframHOST
19:04
I think he was terrific in terms of dishing out the basketball, doing a little bit of everything defensively, five assists, five rebounds.
Matthew WinickHOST
45:45
They're athletic.
Matthew WinickHOST
45:46
I just want to see this backcourt of Alex Wilkins and Zoom Diallo.
Matthew WinickHOST
45:50
I mean, Little Rock pressed almost the entire game against Kentucky.
Matthew WinickHOST
45:53
I don't think you got to see what this backcourt's really going to look like.
TJ WalkerHOST
77:11
Is there anything we... tonight? Is there anything at all? You know, let's just cross our fingers and pray to the higher power that no injuries, for the love of Pete.
Steven PeakeGUEST
77:21
No inju- Yes, that, uh, Zoom Diallo.
Steven PeakeGUEST
77:24
I, I'm, that's the guy I'm watching tonight, 'cause I think this team is gonna go as far as, as he allows them to go.
Steven PeakeGUEST
77:30
He is, uh...
Steven PeakeGUEST
77:54
I'm always just, I always put a question mark next to those guys who come from mid-major to, to, you know, kind of like Cam Williams.
Steven PeakeGUEST
78:00
Took him a little bit to get acclimated, uh, to the, the faster pace of the game and everything.
Steven PeakeGUEST
78:04
So, uh, those two, our, our, our back court is what I will be looking at the most, but definitely Zoom Diallo.
Steven PeakeGUEST
78:11
Like, they said, uh, some, some of the feedback from him wasn't as glowing as you would like it to be from the pro scouts from pro day.
Billy RutledgeHOST
36:46
You just got the best shooter in the portal.
Billy RutledgeHOST
36:49
You got, uh, I, I think a great additions of guards in Alex Wilkin and Zoom Diallo.
Billy RutledgeHOST
36:53
Now, while the depth may be a little questionable, you return a guy like Malachi Moreno, I think there's a lot of pieces to be excited about.
Billy RutledgeHOST
36:59
One that I've mentioned on this show before is Braden Hawthorne.
Jack PilgrimHOST
48:26
And then a- the...
Jack PilgrimHOST
48:28
An- another reporter asked a follow-up, it was the same, same one a couple minutes later for similar, who are, who are the best shooters on the team, and then he included Zoom Diallo, but it was only because Zoom was walking behind the camera, and it was one of those, "Oh, and, and that guy that's definitely within earshot of me is, is also an elite shooter." And it's like, all right.
Jack PilgrimHOST
48:46
Come on.
Jack PilgrimHOST
48:47
[laughs]
Reece MillsHOST
47:57
Uh, but before we get to that, um, I do wanna talk a little bit about, uh, media day and I don't know how much y'all kept up with it.
Reece MillsHOST
48:07
Um, so the three that went down there were Milan Momcilovic, Malachi Moreno, and Zoom Diallo.
Reece MillsHOST
48:14
Um, pretty interesting comment from Zoom.
Reece MillsHOST
48:18
Uh, he said he is a, quote, "lambatarian."
Matt JonesHOST
1:16
Myron, you were at SEC Media Day.
Matt JonesHOST
1:18
We talked yesterday about how Kentucky basketball's Zoom Diallo said he was a lambatarian.
Matt JonesHOST
1:26
which means he only eats lamb as a meat.
Matt JonesHOST
1:30
Eats no meat except lamb.
Myron MedcalfHOST
1:50
But if it's not good, I just don't know that you can make those declarations unless you're going to have a really good season.
Myron MedcalfHOST
1:57
Because now everybody's going to be talking about it.
Myron MedcalfHOST
1:59
So this is either going to be a fun thing that everybody gets behind, and it's Zoom Diallo, the lamb-eating point guard, or it's going to be the guy who said a weird word at SEC Media Day.
Myron MedcalfHOST
2:12
He seemed to be in good spirits when I talked to him.
