What happened in your career life when you started pulling away from traditional physics and into the work that you're doing now? Well, so it's probably
1:56
not that unique of a story in terms of the broad bones.
2:00
It's just the details.
2:01
So I, you know, I have a PhD in physics.
2:04
I traveled the world.
2:05
My experiment was located in Japan.
2:07
I've been all over the country, all over the world, but not at all was paying any attention to myself.

Like what are some things that they can think about for rejuvenation and helping people?
7:03
So you've studied physics, got a PhD in physics, but I'm guessing that's not all you've done to learn about pain.
7:11
Oh, absolutely not.
7:13
So what physics has brought to the concept of pain is the understanding that there are rules and reasons for things to be the way they are.
7:26
And there are assumptions that we make.
7:29
in our attempt to understand the world.
7:31
And sometimes we have to go deeper into a smaller scale or expand into more of a full picture in order to solve the problem or answer the questions that we have.
7:48
So taking that approach and the curiosity that comes with being able to earn a PhD in physics and applying it to the body brings a whole different approach than, say, a medical doctor who is thinking, you know, symptoms and patterns and, you know, physiological function.

but they all affect each other you can't you can't affect one without affecting another one right if i you know if you think of someone who's depressed or or shy you can you can think in your mind what does their posture look like right because your emotions you know absolutely yeah
14:35
Can you share what that could mean or look like?
14:39
Absolutely.
14:40
So in Ayurveda, we describe people and places and foods and all sorts of things through something called the gunas, which are just qualities.
14:53
And usually the gunas come in pairs, which are opposites like hot and cold, or moist or dry.
15:02
And so if you think about you as a person, if you tend to run dry in your skin, right, then that Guna is not quite balanced, you're more on the dry side.
15:16
So you tend to apply oil to your skin in order to balance you out, right? But what if you instead went to a place that either made you feel more dry, right? So if you already run dry and you go to the desert where it's dry, that's not going to help you.
15:38
You're going to feel worse.
19:25
Are there any examples that you can give of clients that have gone on your retreats and what their dosha was and where they ended up going or a certain outcome that they ended up getting or feedback that they
