Ziva Branstetter

So we tried to do a mix of educational events and also like some storytelling We just launched this year an event called the Truth Story Award.

And this year, our award went to a Tulsa journalist, Ziva Branstetter, and she actually led a team with ProPublica that revealed and documented the deaths of five pregnant women in Texas and Georgia who were either denied or delayed necessary abortion care.

And that... that exact, like that specific series ended up winning a Pulitzer for public service.

So we just wanted to honor her, her journalistic, not only her journalistic abilities, but also just her willingness to share and amplify those stories because right now there's actually no tracking going on at a federal level regarding women who are, whose deaths have been linked to abortion bans.

So it just, sort of emphasizes how necessary those stories are and that we need to share them.
