Now, Buando played for Zimbabwe at the Nations Cup in 2004 and 2006.

He's returned from many years in Germany with another former national team player, Max Lunger, as the Zifa president, Nobile Maguizzi, is involving a lot of former players in the coaching structures of the national teams.

Buando told me that he was on a coaching course with now England coach Thomas Tuchel some years back, but that he was not given opportunities in the same way in Germany.
