John Adams, Toby Poser and their daughter Zelda Adams and their younger daughter Lulu is now getting involved in the filmmaking fund.
Tom LorenzoGUEST

They just make movies upstate in upstate New York using the limited budgets they have and the environment they use upstate New York to pretty great effect.
Tom LorenzoGUEST
14:06
While I liked pretty much every movie they made up to this point, They'd always managed to make something special out of their very limited means.

As quick as it was for this show, it felt that quick when we got there.
Tom LorenzoGUEST

Another three-movie day was keeping it a little light.
Tom LorenzoGUEST

I skipped the 2 o'clock round, and I skipped the midnight because I just... needed the rest and i knew thursday with the closing night party was going to be a long one which was going to make friday night of uh friday friday of just uh going home be a fucking miserable experience which it ended up being so i was right on that so i made it a little easier on myself so the first movie of the day was 11 o'clock it is a movie called death has no master now this is a movie that um caught my attention when I was going through the schedule when it was first announced because it stars Aja Argento, Dario Argento's daughter, who I actually think is a really good actress.

She was quite...

Zelda is just glorious as as your as Deb's deputy like she's just so ridiculously and sweetly clueless but you know in the end quite wise about you know what you would want to do if you were left behind in the rapture and um deli meat, baby, huge baby monster things were coming out and eating people.
Nadine WhitneyHOST
3:38
Like, I think I wouldn't want to stick around for that, you know? So yeah, it, it, it had like a lot of heart and, and especially, you know, that your character Toby is, is grieving, you know, and grieving a very good man.
Nadine WhitneyHOST
3:55
Hank, you know, well, Oh, I see a few, John, it's like prosthetics and a photo.

Nadine WhitneyHOST
20:59
Was that something a little bit different?
Toby PoserGUEST
21:04
Well, we only had Zelda for a short amount of time because she was in her senior year of college and she was just home for...
Toby PoserGUEST
21:10
I think we had her for two weeks for winter break that we were like she was committed and there.

I was like-
MikeHOST
30:47
It was...
MikeHOST
30:47
I was worried that this wasn't gonna be up my alley when I read the synopsis about it.
MikeHOST
30:53
But Zelda Adams playing Mickey in this is kind of a badass for a- a folk horror, which is more on the serious side.
MikeHOST
31:00
She brings a little, like, realness to it, but also, like, a soft side.
Stephanie WeberHOST

27, Soulmate, directed by Axel Carolin.
Stephanie WeberHOST
12:34
28, Mother of Flies, directed by John Adams, Toby Poser, and Zelda Adams.
Stephanie WeberHOST

The 29th, Tigers Are Not Afraid, directed by Issa López.
Toby PoserGUEST

And we love working in the winter and we were ready to do that again.
Toby PoserGUEST
2:46
And we only had Zelda for a short time.
Toby PoserGUEST
2:48
time because she was finishing her last year of college so it was the perfect opportunity to really explore just something with um a fast momentum and uh blood in the snow which we love
Gary HamesHOST
3:00
yeah blood and other things yeah yeah
Toby PoserGUEST
5:08
So I really just kind of played it the way I thought it would go if I were in Deb's shoes.
Toby PoserGUEST
5:13
It was really cool.
Toby PoserGUEST
5:13
And Mikey, Zelda, our daughter, played Mikey, her young deputy, I think felt the same way.
Toby PoserGUEST
5:20
And it was such a delight to play opposite her, her innocence and her desire to do well in the face of complete mayhem.
Vincent GaineHOST
34:56
And yeah, all, all chaos, all hell is breaking loose, perhaps literally.
Vincent GaineHOST
35:01
Um, the reason that I'm a bit of a latecomer to this is that this is the first film I s- have seen from The Adams Family, so directed by Toby Poser and John Adams, starring Zelda Adams and also Toby Poser.
Vincent GaineHOST
35:14
So, you know, it's a family affair.
Vincent GaineHOST
35:16
So The Adams Family, not that one, are, uh, mainstays of Fright Fest.
ChuckHOST

And we went to San Bernardino, California, in the middle of the woods on this nature reserve.
ChuckHOST
62:52
Zelda Adams is the lead character in it.
ChuckHOST
62:55
And she is a very severely... uh electronic addicted woman that lives her life through you know screens and social media and the purpose of her going there is to disconnect and that's all say about it of what it's about um and i think that what elaine accomplished in 10 minutes and 12 seconds conveys her message i think it hits and i think that it has some parts in it that are really horrific um And Daniel Contaldo was the assistant director on it, who's a brilliant, brilliant little crazy fucker from Italy who drinks these like this crazy Italian espresso and gets like all wound up at like his eye for cinematography.
