Um, but then towards the end of that run, um, as I was getting a little burned out on the daily part of the daily show, I thankfully met through some people I met, uh, got to meet the folks at the Simpsons and that was, they asked me to come and pitch for a freelance episode.

Cause in the, you know, the Simpsons, I guess is still one of the few shows that gloriously has a lot of episodes per season.

So they actually do bring in freelance writers and it was awesome.

And that was another dream come true type of gig for me.

[laughs] When Hydro-Man suggests that they kill Spider-Man, Shocker calls him crazy because he just wants to be a player in the supervillain game again.

They leave Denny's with Hydro-Man set on going after Spider-Man while Shocker looks to find one last score.

For March of 2003, Stan Lee Presents Peter Parker volume two, issue 52, Hydro-Man and the Shocker [dramatic music] in Everybody's Working for the Weekend by Zeb Wells, Francisco Herrera, and Wayne Faucher, starring Peter Parker.

All right, we start our next book with Hydro-Man telling Shocker about how different waters help him control his powers.

As well as a man who has writing credits, but not so much in the movie space.

Zeb Wells is a comic book writer.

He... wrote for Amazing Spider-Man and New Mutants for Marvel.

He also has some writing and directing credits, as well as voice acting credits.

... 'cause Jessica Gao, the showrunner, is a huge, huge, uh, comic book fan as well, as well as, um, her, um, second, um, Zeb Wells, who writes Amazing Spider-Man-

... and all that stuff.

We, we threw out so many names that never made it to the actual, um, um, show, but [laughs] I remember...

I think we can talk about it, but there was this bit that drove Zeb Wells absolutely insane.

You know what I mean? Like I, I, you know, admittedly kind of like-

And the lack of humor from like Zeb Wells.

And then I think we're going to end strong.

This is my personal opinion on with Amazing Spiderman 577 by Zeb Wells and Paulo Rivera.

So those are the Spiderman Punisher stories that we're covering.

So I got to ask you guys, did you read these stories in the past or this is your first time reading them? I have read all of these.

Macy's Spider-Man 577 is the issue.

It came out in the end of 2008.

Writer Zeb Wells and art by Pablo Rivera.

Colors by Javier Rodriguez and Dean White.

Now, I was going to go back and start at the number one for the current ongoing Amazing Spider-Man by Joe Kelly.

And then I looked back and I was like, You know, I remember reading the beginning of Zeb Wells' run, and I remember liking it.

And I didn't stick with it, not for any particular reason.

I just started reading so many other things, as we do in comics sometimes.

And I decided to kind of drop it and read other things.

But I was like, you know what? Let me go back and reread Zeb Wells.

Let me go back even further.

I think Zeb Wells did 60 issues.
