Which is just... you know to to their own destruction um now i did speak with ben eris um from bne intellinews and he's an extremely experienced uh russia reporter and he told me in you know he knew this from russian sources that there were oh and i guess kushner said this but he he thought that this was right that if the ukrainians would just give up the last little quarter of donetsk that the russians might just be willing to draw the lines where they are and zaprosia and person instead of insisting on taking all of zaprosia and curse on and we know if they go all the way where you know in order to take western curse on on the other side of the river they're going to have to have already won the war and by then then they can take odessa then they can take the entire coast all the way to transnistria and leave rump ukraine a landlocked state deprive them of their port city and everything So they'd be much better off to just quit while they're only this far behind as it is right now.

And the fact that the Russians would even consider compromising on Zaporozhye and Kherson should be taken as a huge win and chalk it up to the bravery of the conscripts on the Ukrainian side for holding out this long, that the Russians might be willing to compromise on that.

But then, of course, the Ukrainian answer is no. We're not going to turn around and walk away from land that we still control.

You're going to take Donetsk and have to fight for every last inch of it.
