Zachary Root

Angel Genoa.

Zach Root.

Hagan Smith.

Hey, nice.

These are ones I at least looked at, were we, uh, we did get Carlos Ferragne, but not Elmo Rodriguez.

Jonah Tang is there, uh, Zach Root is there, Carson Milbrandt is there, and I'll try to get up some of the other names that were...

Uh, but those are the names I would say that have proximity as well, where, you know, there are the guys.

Like, someone may ask us, "Why did you not take Kenry Churio?" Well, Kenry Churio is further away.

So I, when I look at that, uh, and compare it, it is very interesting.

So we're going to start at the top, of course, with, uh, Zach Root.

And now let's compare Zach Root to Michael Malky.

Now, I don't know for sure that Michael Malky is going to be the Friday night starter of this Arkansas team.

I don't know for sure if he's going to be that guy that if you get to Omaha, he's going up against Cade Anderson.

We're comparing East Carolina, Cal Baptist, different conferences.

East Carolina probably played a little bit better competition.

Zach Root was also viewed as a little bit higher regarded prospect.

And I believe that's what both of his strikeouts came with.

uh came from was was a slide piece this a guy and he also throws an overhand curveball like there's a legitimate pitch mix there with Malky uh and I gotta be honest I I remember saying in the offseason I don't know if this is a Zach Root level transfer and I still don't know if I'm ready to go there Zach Root was a first rounder so that's very high praise if I'm gonna say that but I got to be honest, he looks like a little bit of a right-handed Zach Root, if I'm just being 100% honest with you, man.

He looks really good.

I'm excited to see him stretch out a little bit more because, again, you get to see these guys for one inning.
