Zach O'Brien

I mean, there's a lot of depth in this Panthers team, but it strikes me that maybe the big winner is Spencer Naz, who obviously started pre-season on the third line.

Zach O'Brien had to go away for family commitments and obviously the lines jumbled around a bit.

But, you know, the line that saw Spencer Naz, Chase Pearson, Zach O'Brien together, and of course, Doherty, Alfaro, Corbett.

then Pickham and Grondin, Frato, O'Reilly, and then obviously Larkin, Kelso, Betteridge.

But my point in that question is, Danny Stewart always said that he thought Spencer Nas could be flexible.

And though he made it quite clear that he would be having a role to play, maybe different to his Dundee sort of role, he's already shown that he's impressed in pre-season.

And I think we all would rightly agree that he took his place on the left wing on what was called the top line on Saturday.

Yeah, I think, you know, anybody that gets to play with Chase and Zach O'Brien is going to, you know, probably end up with a hat full of points.

There's probably a few little tweaks there he wants to make.

And I think that one power play unit, me and Jono talked about it a few times, looks awesome with Chase and O'Brien on it.

I think there'll be a real handful for everyone.

And I think Sunday was just a bit of a, not a rude awakening, but That's the epitome of the Elite League, unfortunately, that even if you win your game on Saturday and do really well, not that it means nothing, but if you then go on Sunday and lose, it kind of scuppers the whole weekend.

I mean, Cardiff...

Yeah, Greener alluded to it earlier, and we've said it a lot on commentary, that I think is what I would say is the top power play line that's got Ben Corbett, Tim Doherty, Chase Pearson, Hanson Bukata on the point.

And I think Spencer Naz was on it on... on, on Saturday, but I think Zach O'Brien was on it in the previous weekend.

That looked so good.

[laughs] What, what's wrong with Duggan? [laughs] Um, new imports who, uh, new imports to the Panthers but are league known, we've got Matt Robson, Spencer Nash, and Steve's man crush, Zach O'Brien.

Yeah.

The mustache is back, baby.

Um, [laughs] he put the popcorn price up, didn't he, from eating it all-

... from that whole season with Zach O'Brien.

Didn't gi- Like you say, I, I, I thought it was an assist all day long for him, but it, it, it wasn't given.

I th- think, uh, Zach, Zach O'Brien and Mi- Mika Pyykkönen were also robbed of a couple of assists as well.

But, but by the by, it's only pre-season.

Um, yeah, he, he, he's, he's a, he's a great player.

You know, he, he has to make that save.

And if it gets through the defenseman and they tap it into an empty net, it's probably on the defenseman.

But obviously when you've got someone like Zach O'Brien that's threading a puck through a space, you know, you know, when you watch it in the NHL and McDavid's putting it, sourcing it over a stick backdoor, you know, you can't really blame the defenseman.

But everywhere I have been, really the rule is the D-man peels away to the other guy and takes him, and you almost play that shooter like it's a one-on-one.
