How did it start and yeah, what is it give-- What, what is Open Fuel?
16:09
Open Fuel started in Cape Town, South Africa, by my co-founder, who is the founder, uh, Andrew.
16:18
And it is a nutrition brand that was started by him to just really fill a need specifically in Cape Town and South Africa.
16:29
Running and cycling have absolutely blown up there over the past, you know, decade or, or more than that, especially as like the country has continued to like develop and more people have the opportunity to actually get into those, those sports, which has been, which is awesome.
16:45
Uh, like the community there is, is pretty, pretty unique.
16:49
But all of the-- There's, there's-- It's still very expensive or hard to import things, so like, you know, Maurten, Precision, all of the bigger brands were pretty pricey and there wasn't a super high quality, like science-backed option in Cape Town.
17:05
So I think that was the main driver for Andrew to start it.

43:29
So go browse around, garagegrowngear.com. [chuckles]
27:10
So it's a really confusing time.
27:13
Yeah, during Cocodona, I had Andrew, the founder, kind of working directly with Drew, our videographer, to put out reels.
27:24
And I was not involved with it at all.
27:27
And so they would chat.
27:29
The only thing I was involved with is if I was running and listening to one of my running playlists and a song came up, I would send a voice note and be like, oh, this could be a cool song to add to the reel, which is pretty fun to do.
27:41
But after the race, I saw it and they had posted – I thought they were only going to maybe do like one a day.
27:47
And they didn't really actually talk about like what place I was in as much.

9 MINS LATER

36:35
Yeah.
35:55
What, what happened out as you were crossing the Prescott Valley?
35:58
Valley?Ironically, the running actually felt easier than I expected.
36:02
Listening to y'all's preview podcasts, I was like, man-- And, and knowing how the course was last year with the mud, I was bracing for the worst there.
36:10
But I was moving quite well, and we crossed the first cow field.
36:15
So after you come off the rail trail through some of the neighborhoods, the flags, that was the first time that the course seriously diverted from the GPX file.
36:26
And then when we linked up with Cody and his pacer, between my pacer, Cody and his pacer, they all had three different [chuckles] routes on their GPX files for that section, which I don't, I don't know how that worked.
36:39
I'm not sure if having the Coros track download, I have a Garmin, I think that created a little bit more of a, of a challenge.

15 MINS LATER

51:21
Um, what happened between the Sedona Valley and Schnebly Hill?
