The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors meets in regular session tomorrow morning.

The county is expected to grant an easement to the Southern California Gas Company on the property set for a new fire station in Yucca Valley.

The easement is set to be approved on the approximately .83 acre site located on Joshua Lane behind the library in Yucca Valley.

The easement will allow for the installation of gas pipelines and conduits.

The board is expected to approve a funding reduction for Valley Star Behavioral Health Incorporated for adult mental health and support services.

The enrollment committee ultimately recommended that the school district find other ways to make up the budget deficit without closing any of the elementary schools.

Yucca Mesa families and community members are invited to bring their input and opinions to this special meeting about the future of Yucca Mesa Elementary School.

The meeting is at 5.30 p.m. at Yucca Mesa, located at 3380 Avalon Avenue in Yucca Valley.

Joshua Tree's new music store, The Noise Floor, will be holding their grand opening party all day this Saturday featuring free music lessons, live music, and refreshments.

Reporter and musician Gabriel Hart sat down with the Noise Floor owners to talk about the importance of keeping music equipment and lessons accessible in the Morongo Basin and how they complement the other two music shops in Yucca Valley.

Jesse Worstel and Kevin Zeber had been playing in the band The Bad Habits when Worstel asked him what he thought about starting a music shop that sold new and used equipment and also offered lessons, in which Zeber immediately replied, I'm in.
