Yucaipa

My dad had purchased a really long phone cord so he could move the phone into the garage when he worked out there, usually reloading shotgun shells.

I used to love helping him fill the shotgun shells as a little girl.

My dad always took us out shooting at targets and clay discs out in the hills of Yucaipa.

My brother would go hunting with him, but I stuck to the targets.

We're staying at the Ace Hotel.

What other things are going on over there? Beaumont, Banning, Yucaipa, that whole stretch.

A trial of a woman who says she suffered a traumatic brain injury while riding Magic Mountain's X2 coaster is set to begin next August.

The Yucaipa woman alleges she was injured in 2020.

She's suing S&S Worldwide, which designed and manufactured X2's roller coaster cars.

Although I would say, look, they're Probably over the course of the 20 years or however many years that roller coaster was operating, there probably meant, you know, half a million people that rode that thing.

But the way the Lord works in preparation to come here, you know, I came across, I live in the mountains now.

I live in the mountains near Yucaipa.

And I was down by the creek and there was an older lady listening to oldies.

And then go, I'm going to El Monte.

Um, yeah, a, a lot of guys have been supporting me for many years.

New things are coming out of home haunters like this.

that's great it's really really great stuff so i i encourage everybody at halloween to see black casket in yucaipa i know it's kind of a hike unless you live in yucaipa but uh it's worth it you know make the day of it go go in the afternoon have dinner there as the sun's going down hit it once the sun goes down and then haunt hop and plot out a map of things to hit on your way back to home base that's that's the way to to handle that um They do their haunt in an abandoned bank building.

And so it's great.

The moral of the story is I had every intention on waking up very early on Saturday to get down to Yucaipa, which is about an hour...

like an hour 20 from me without traffic going the speed limit

So during that time, it was really exciting.

We got to move to Yucaipa, California, which that high school, I believe, has like a pretty rich history of Major League Baseball players coming out of it.

We were super excited.

And then, you know, after that, it was kind of a I was kind of a gypsy once I got into pro ball and like obviously bouncing around from place to place.
