Yu Yiting

Um, but quite a few swimmers have been under that or at that 205.0 threshold.

Um, and so h- historically wasn't quite the, the move that we had expected, but still that was a great swim for her, but then today just comes back with a vengeance in the 2IM, and she was like neck and neck with Yu Yiting through the 150.

And Yu Yiting, if you watch that race, she's so much sharper than-

... than Yu ZD, um, in, into her turns, on her underwaters, on her breakouts, and she had so much more pop on those first three s- in those first three strokes, especially fly-back, which Yu Yiting is known as more of a butterfly or an IMer.

Yeah.

And, and more of like a speed athlete, um, compared to Yu ZD.

She was a toddler.

So she's definitely obviously a swimmer to keep an eye out for.

Now I do think the most interesting battle that we're gonna see for her is in the 200 IM because of the next swimmer I want to talk about, and that swimmer is another Chinese swimmer, Yu Yi Ting, and she is in- of course incredibly notable in that 200 IM because in June she clocked a time in the 200 IM of 2:06.82, which broke Yu Zidi's Asian record in that event.

And then at Pan Pacs this year, she swam a pretty quick 2:07.45 to win gold over the world record holder in that 200 IM, Summer McIntosh, by two one-hundredths of a second in a pretty intense and very fun to watch race.

So Yu Yi Ting is definitely the favorite in that 200 IM with the faster personal best compared to Yu Zidi and the Asian record, and that will be a, uh, just a very fun race to watch.

I think 200 IM is always has-- sets the potential for some of the best clashes in swimming.

When we're looking at the overall races, I think 200 IM has the most potential for very good battles, and I think that this one is definitely going to be, uh, one of the top races to watch at the meet, and it's probably going to result in a new Asian record.

When you have the current Asian record holder and the former Asian record holder both have -- both are going personal best and breaking that record, it should be just absolutely lights out swimming.

Yu Yi Ting is also entered in the 100 butterfly and the 100 freestyle.
