Your Ghost Again

And, and there was a, there was, there was a few question mark songs, and there were songs that got completely rearranged.

Um, like Your Ghost Again was a completely different arrangement when we went into pre-production, and we took a riff that happened for, like... happened one time-

Yeah

... and we made it the main riff of the song, and replaced, like, three other riffs and, and took them out of the song.

That's a whopper, that.

Your Ghost Again, Your Ghost Again, was very, very close to getting picked, but I've got a feeling I might hear that again.

But I went with Barbarian's Blood.

I think-

I knew it

...

Your Ghost Again is the track that, uh, I've picked.

Um, I avoided-

Yeah.

Uh, next one was Mastodon's Your Ghost Again.

It was a, uh, like, a tribute song to their, uh, late guitarist, uh, Brent Hinds, who, uh, unfortunately, uh, left the band on not so great terms, and then, uh, got in a motorcycle accident and passed away.

Uh, which sucked, 'cause I really liked his music.

Yeah.

Uh, and uh, yeah, I guess they, you know, Your Ghost Again was, they, they described it as, like, you know, feeling him, like, still around, like, on stage or in the studio, and that kind of stuff.

And, uh, also noticed it was, it was like a heavier song than I'm...

I, Mastodon haven't released a lot of heavy songs in the last, uh, decade or so.

Have you listened yet, Danny? Ooh, I've listened to one of them.

There's, what is it, Snakes for Dinner? I think that's what the first one was called, and then Your Ghost Again.

Oh, it might be the first one, then, I've listened to.

I've listened to Your Ghost Again recently.

It's grown on me.

Yeah.
