It premiered this month at the Young Vic in London.

Callie Khouri wrote the original nineteen ninety-one screenplay.

It was her first, and it won her an Oscar.

there were several errors in that acceptance speech, and yet I'm kind of glad that it was off-the-cuff.

And, and it's led to where we are today, to this musical, which, um, I should say is, uh, on at the Young Vic in London until the 24th of October.

Do you remember that film from the 90s? Well, Oscar winning writer Callie Corey has adapted the story for the stage.

So she's going to join Kylie as the new production opens at London's Young Vic.

That is going to be a wonderful show, no doubt.

We've all got a few memories of Thelma and Louise and that cliff.

His most recent play, Prince Faggot, ran off-Broadway for seven months in 2025.

He has twice won Canada's Governor General's Literary Award for Drama, and his work has been presented at venues including the Young Vic Theatre and Sadler's Wells in London, the Kitchen and Lincoln Centre in New York City, and the Deutsches Theatre in Berlin.

He lives in New York City with his husband and two dogs.

She's a singer.

I met her when I was invited in to support the production of the show Care at the Young Vic earlier this year.

I was invited in by the writer and director, Alexander Zeldin, incredible man.

And I got to meet Taru and the rest of the cast, including Linda Bassett and Mitchell.

I just love to be in front of the cameras.

I love to be on the stage.

And my recent job was at the Young Vic Theatre.

I got a job with care.

I'm also looking forward, slightly more surprisingly, to Thelma and Louise the musical, which is coming on.

at the Young Vic with, again, exceptional casting of Rachel Tucker and Amy Lennox.

I think what's exciting about this is it is actually adapted into a musical by the person who wrote the original film, Kali Khoury.

And that gives me hope.

It's somebody who has lived with that film and felt that it was an expression of love.

yes and uh music by nico case alt country style which i don't think there are many alt country musicals that have succeeded but i think we're crying out for a good one Last year, I believe that Sonia Freeman Productions, who are producing it, essentially took over the Young Vic for a number of weeks to workshop the show.

So this has been in development for a long time and a lot of resources and care has been thrown at it.

I remember seeing Oklahoma when we saw it on Broadway, which was the very kind of radical.

It later came to Young Vic.

That was a show that I'd loved since then.

It was my first West End show, so I had a very sentimental feeling about it.

It was my first job.

It was at the Young Vic.

I'd just graduated.

I was a swing.

But this was just me looking like a crazy person with this microphone swinging around my ankle and everyone just watching these batteries rolling across the stage.

I was so embarrassed.

At the Young Vic, like you have to go through like the front of house, like get out.

I was like, fire exit door, I was off.
