Young Munster

So, you know, we'd go up for training in the morning on a Saturday.

We'd come home for a bit of lunch and we'd be straight back up for an Ireland League game that you could have, you know, five, six thousand people in Connacht with all the pretty much current, you know, Munster team playing in the games against Shannon, Gary Owens, Young Munsters.

And, you know, they ended up being, you know, the people I ended up looking up to.

And I didn't have to go far.

And also, of course, the club rugby season is returning tomorrow for a brand new season.

Young Munster.

The only Limerick side competing in the top tier.

They open their campaign at home to Old Belvedere tomorrow afternoon.

And Young Munster head coach Ger Slattery joins us on the line to look ahead to the new campaign.

Berkey, in all seriousness, you've been around the game a long, long time.

We've seen St. Mary's win a historic final.

I think it's 06 yeah I think it's Shannon 02 to 06 so no pressure for Mark McHugh and St Mary's College to the PROs as well that have got in contact with the ins and outs thank you very much to those who haven't please do because it is a very difficult thing to try and manage 50 men's teams and 10 women's teams across the board but Templeville Road under the presidency of Garrett Logan last year what an absolutely incredible season it was for St Mary's College And they will look to have as close to a repeat as possible.

And time will tell on that front.

Young Munsters RFC still led by Ger Sattery in Limerick.

A bit of an indifference in the last couple of seasons, Berkey, on that.

But congrats to both of them.

Brock Gallagher and Jacob Ince have been signed for Young Munster.

So that's great to see both of them heading off to the British Isles.
