And so I figure I should give it a shot.

I should give him a shot.

And I do have a young man in a hurry and I'm going to read it.

Okay.

I thought, "How many books did he actually sell?" And this is a fascinating story.

Uh, do you know anybody who read his latest biography, Young Man in a Hurry? Do you know of someone who bought the book and then told you, "Oh, I read Gavin Newsom's biography.

It's really good.

You should get it"? God, I don't know anybody who did that.

What compelled you to do it? And what do you hope people take away from it? And what do you want your kids to take away from you as a dad? And maybe some things that are in the memoir, maybe just some things from their experiences with you on the personal side.

Well, the memoir is called Young Man in a Hurry, and it was never supposed to be a memoir.

When I first became governor, Penguin Press came to me and they said, would you write a book about your four years as governor? Little did we know we were about to enter COVID and all the social unrest after George Floyd and all the challenges that we would face in California, the most blessed and cursed state in America, wildfires, floods and droughts.

And so I submitted the book.

know? And so it became a memoir and it became, it's called Young Man in a Hurry, which was me, A memoir of discovery.

I learned about my parents.

The fees that you pay when you register your car is going to go towards private security for certain former state officials, notably Gavin Newsom as soon as he's a former somebody and Kamala Harris.

Let's not forget that the state of California, through the CHP, paid for the security for Kamala when she went on her book tour.

She is no longer a public servant.

She is not in elected office.

is fairly wealthy, especially if you count the wife's money.

Kamala Harris, look at what her net worth is.

They can afford their own security just based on the advance that she got for that book that nobody read.

She could have hired private security to take her on that tour.

What's weird about this, too, is he's trying to portray himself as a young, vigorous guy who's got all the energy in the world.

In fact, wasn't the title of his book Young Man in a Hurry? Yes.

Yet you look at his plan for raising money for his presidential race, and he's targeting big companies like Southern California Edison and PG&E.

Yet when you look at the people who have been able to raise huge sums of money for big races, it's people like AOC.
