You'll Be in My Heart

Now tell us about yours.

So I'm going to do a rumba to You'll Be In My Heart from Tarzan.

I love that song.

Phil Collins, give me chills.

Yeah, he did the whole Tarzan soundtrack and all that.

You'll Be In My Heart.

Bro did a song with Bone.

It's a me thing because I'm like, Phil Collins didn't sound like a black dude singing.

And I said, Debbie, what the hell are you doing? She says, I'm Tarzan.

And then, you know, she's singing, oh, God, what's that song? You'll Be In My Heart from Tarzan movie that Phil Collins did.

And I said, God, dang it, Debbie, put your titty away.

This is a family establishment.

That was a great decision.

One of those songs, You'll Be In My Heart, plays during a scene where a young Tarzan is comforted by his adoptive gorilla mother, who is voiced by Glenn Close.

It's a simple universal message about staying connected to someone you love, even when you're apart.

That's what the song was about.

In his words, he would have written it regardless of whether Disney wanted it or not.

It was really just his way of doing something for his kids.

Now, to maximize the film's reach worldwide, Disney had Collins record both You'll Be in My Heart and Strangers Like Me in five separate languages, English, Spanish, French, German, and Italian, singing the lyrics phonetically for the languages that he didn't actually speak.

And that effort, well, it paid off in a huge way.

what was it? Titanic.

Yeah, but what's it called? It's called In My Heart? From Tarzan? You'll Be In My Heart, yeah.

So this is the special effects version of Phil Collins's...

In my heart for Tarzan.

You'll be in my heart.

You'll be in.

So this is...

You're like, "I'm underwhelmed." But then as we're leaving, we're like, "Okay, we can leave early." We're just like, "We have to go to bed.

We have a park day in the morning." Um, You'll Be in My Heart, like, that song goes on, and Kristin starts-

[laughs]

... crying, and I-

But as more and more time went on, I was like, "Okay, maybe it's not.

I don't really wanna get my hopes up." And then, um, our song that we say is our song is You'll Be in My Heart, um, from Tarzan.

Oh, from Tarzan.

Mm-hmm.

From Tangled.

Um, the, the Tangled song.

And they are right, like it was, You'll Be in My Heart, then straight into I See the Light, and I started crying so much.

And I asked him if he had gotten the person that controls the music-

Marge shares the CODCOM code, which is 1-1-1-1, allowing Homer to remove his COD piece and shout, as he pulls down his underpants, revealing his penis and testicles.

As Phil Collins' You'll Be In My Heart from the Tarzan soundtrack plays, the chimp runs towards Homer.

He hikes up his pants and flees, shutting a fence behind him and hiding underneath a tortoise and drawing a piece of

the amphibian's lettuce.
