Yossi Benayoun

His press was ineffective at points, and even then, we didn't sign him to be a presser of the ball.

That's why you have a Jordan Henderson or a Gini Wijnaldum or a Yossi Benayoun.

Wirtz is a creator and a distributor, and right now we aren't seeing neither of those things happen.

He gave away the ball 17 times against City, and at that point, you're more of a hindrance than a benefit to the side.

I said before, I think There's players for Liverpool who were deemed not good enough for Liverpool in terms of going to win a league title or a European Cup, if you like, who had a real impact in those positions.

I think of someone like a Nick Bambi, a Vladimir Smicer, Yossi Benayoun, Maxi Rodriguez, Jari Litmanen.

We've had so many players in those positions.

Coutinho, Steven Gerrard, Steve McManaman, who have brought more to the table than this lad is right now.

So I need someone that can play on the left.

Yossi Benayoun.

Oh, yes.

And he went on a bit of a escapade throughout the Premier League, playing for loads of teams, but he started with West Ham,

Well, we have got a pretty elite West Ham team here.

You've kind of picked like the best player from sort of every era growing up, Fabianski and Goal.

Dimitri Payet, Andy Carroll, Mark Noble and Yossi Benayoun sticking to your roots, not picking another team.

Thank you so much, Oli.

Do you know who it is? And I, do you know what? I saw him this morning.

Yossi Benayoun.

Ah.

All right.

Benayoun is calling for it.

It is Yossi Benayoun.

It's through.

And Vernon for Riise.

And Benayoun.

[upbeat music]

Welcome to today's podcast where we, Greg and I, are joined by Yossi Benayoun.

An absolute pleasure to have you, Yossi.

Who's this? Number six.

Ben Ayoun.

Ben Ayoun.

That is not Yossi Benayoun.

I've got John Torral.

One more of these.

And it is Yossi Benayoun and Liverpool.

So where was he at before Liverpool? And where did he go to after Liverpool? These are crackers, by the way.

These are really good.
