Yorkshire Water

Yeah, I can't remember what the event was, but there was an open invite to an event up at the Biohub and Vincent had literally just started.

And I was up there with Yorkshire Water, people from the food sector as well.

So it was right across the whole piece, really, in terms of the supply chain.

I can't remember if Derek was there, he might have shown his face for a little bit and then disappeared.

Yeah, and again, you're absolutely right, Ryan, Aaron, and it's also not accidental.

The meeting with Derek, meeting Derek was accidental.

So when Yorkshire Water offered me, so Yorkshire Water is a landowner, When Yorkshire Water offered me the land, and when I sold it to Yorkshire Water, I sold them a hydrology project with food production.

When I met Derek, I sold, and I only met Derek because the other landscape that they showed me, which was all lowland, I wasn't too interested in, because it just wasn't a challenge in a way.

And then we've got Behavior Shift.

We do, we work with all sorts of different brands, from British Wool, which is about promoting the benefits of a, a, a natural fabric, to Yorkshire Water, which is about, you know, behavioral change with people saving water, using water in an appropriate manner, et cetera.

So Behavior Shift is, is that sort of element.

But we do all sorts of different bits and pieces, and also we do some quite, um, fun and in- innovative stuff as well.

We went back to all of those other 15 water companies and said, I know that you said no to investing in the business, but we've now come up with a different model.

And that is we want to rent your brand name of Thames Water or Yorkshire Water or Anglin Water to use your customer base.

We will hire the plumbers.

We will cover the cost of marketing.

He said, we just had a letter from Yorkshire Water to tell us they are increasing our direct debit from £104 a month to £133.

We have a small garden, which we sometimes give a bit of water if it's looking a bit brown, and there isn't another hosepipe ban.

I mean, Paul, first up, thoughts and prayers for the £133 a month.

And obviously this is, I believe this happens because something they're putting in the source water.

I've had Yorkshire water.

They've tested my water.

I've not heard from them in two weeks, even though they meant to get back to me after a week.

And if there's less water to dilute it, there's more concentrations of stuff getting through it.

Yorkshire Water have released a statement that ground source water over the last decade has got so badly polluted, what they're pulling out of the ground has just got worse and worse.

With a lot of old mines and everything else that we have around the area, that doesn't help.
