His work rate is fantastic.

He had a good preseason, but- It's hard to see right now where he fits in there unless somebody gets injured and that's possibly the best route in for him but not just him that goes for the other positions on the park where Leeds have some depth and that's where the next story is and it's about Joe Rodon and sticking with positions that Leeds have got plenty of depth in and the centre back area is definitely one of those it's a bit of an injury update of where he is our potential return dates and Kyle Newbold in the Yorkshire Evening Post has had a bit of a deeper dive into this and had a look at the return from injury for Joe Rodon what games he could potentially end up getting back into the fold for should everything go according to plan he's looked at two different scenarios in this situation as well Daniel Farraker confirmed when Joe Rodon went off against Brentford with the hamstring injury that it was a more severe end of hamstring injuries and you're looking at eight to ten weeks before he would get back into action we are five weeks into that right now there's another week of an international break that will bring it to six so you're looking at two to four weeks beyond that depending on the severity and scale of the recovery now you've also got to add to that Joe Rodon's bounce back ability and his fairly strong resilience that he's shown over the last couple of years when when he has been injured also you add to that the Leeds United medical team's ability to get players back ahead of time and back on a park and maybe that brings it to the lesser end of the return dates in the eight week time frame so Kyle Newbold's looked at the eight week and the 10 week version of this and if it was to be an eight week time frame for Joe Rodon to get back into the fold for Leeds United then you're three weeks away from that and you're possibly looking at a return date of the 25th of October which would have him back for the game against Sunderland if it was to go longer though and if it was to go to the full 10 week period then it would be a return date against his former side Tottenham Hotspur on the 8th of November now that would depend on just how sharp he is at that moment in time do Leeds rush him back do they need to they've got three centre halves right now working quite well Yakubyal in reserve and a pretty decent reserve at that as well James Justin's doing very well in that right centre back position so right now Leeds have got the best defence in the league and should there be no suspensions or injuries to those players and Leeds are not in a massive rush to push him back in and if it goes beyond the eight weeks then maybe Leeds look at leaving it to after the November international break and just give Joe a little bit more time to make sure he is 100% able to make those runs down the right hand side of the park that Daniel Farrakhan likes him to do I think Joe Rodon is a very important player for Leeds I think his defensive organisation is huge I think there's little areas in the side that have been shown since he's been out a little bit of panic at times although it's gone fine for Leeds right now I think he's a very important player for Leeds United I think Daniel Farrakhan thinks the same thing and I think the sooner he's available for Leeds the sooner he'll go back into that side as well so yeah lots of competition in the centre back positions lots of competition in the midfield position but that's the position you want to be in as Leeds United actual genuine competition and depth in your side but that will be it for me today folks you can check out last night's podcast myself and Andrea Russo having a deeper look at the Manchester City 1-1-5 and the bigger knock-on effect for the Premier League the future of the Premier League and Leeds United as well and you can check out the Katana Briardy interview which is over there there's also a written version of that that is up on our website theleedsview.ie and we'll have a bonus podcast out on Saturday for you as well so plenty to keep you ticking over while we go into the third week of the international break enjoy the rest of your day I'll talk to you soon see you later bye

uh yeah so they're known as munitionettes aren't they so it's munitions factories so helping the war effort and there's more to this than just women playing football isn't it because this was just women in the workplace as well as women working in factories which also wasn't a thing before this point and it's all part of that wider war effort that's going on um I've found an article from a bit earlier, and I'm going to compare it to an article just after the women's game sort of kicks off, okay? So this is from 1895.
Ben JonesHOST
7:13
This is the Yorkshire Evening Post, and they're commenting on a match with the British Ladies Football Club, okay? And they're talking about a couple of the players, and this is the attitude, the sort of misogyny that comes through.
Ben JonesHOST
7:28
They said the British Ladies Football Club contained a fat lady or two who would have been better minding the baby or wringing out the family washing.
Ben JonesHOST
7:36
So incredibly stereotypical, archaic perceptions of women.
Scott PhilbrookHOST

So in 1941, there's a follow-up story that keeps the mutiny idea going in which the sailors rise up and demand the captain takes them home to Singapore before the cargo, whatever that is, gets them or kills them.
Scott PhilbrookHOST

Ger LynchHOST

And he was speaking with Kyle Newbould from the Yorkshire Evening Post straight after the game on Monday night, and had a lot to say about the Okafor situation And also his own opinion and impressions of Leeds United after making his home starting debut.
