But the Gemara says in Baisa, at the end of the first Perek: Why did the Chachamim prohibit making curtains from Shatnez? Because sometimes it'll be chilly in the house, and a person who's not wearing, uh, a sweater or two sweaters will be cold, so he'll wrap himself in the curtain.

So, um, s- so it says in Yoreh Deah, but if it's the Paroches, Paroches is Tashmishi Kedusha, so you're not allowed to wrap yourself in the Paroches.

So that you may make from Shatnez.

So they say that if you order a, a curtain from the manufacturer...

Let's say Siman Yud Daled, there's a thing.

One is not permitted to get married in the middle of the Yemei HaBealis, okay? So the Halacha says look in the end of Yoreh Deah.

That would have been...

Siman as well is very Halacha Lema'aseh.

And a whole list, the Shulchan Aruch quotes, "Tzoleni Bamazon," a whole list of Shniyyus La'arayos.

And then you have the category of Chai Ve'alam.

There is in, in Yoreh Deah, the Siman Kuf Nun Zayin.

The second Chelek Yoreh Deah, Siman Kuf Nun Zayin, is the Siman about Yahareg Ve'al Yaavor.

So, uh, so that's the story the, uh, the, the Gemara, the Gemara tells us over here.

The, uh, this is based on this, the Shulchan Aruch Paskins in the Yoreh Deah, siman kuf yud tes, that someone who's chasid devar echad is not chasid for devarim acherim, but whatever he needs, lo oso דבר, he's chasid on that.

So if a person was chasid to sell, uh, chelev b'makom shuman, and he was margil v'na'arim, the Shulchan Aruch says exactly like our Gemara, to come and buy from him with a gozim, he would offer free candy, so then he's not allowed to sell a gozim either.

So there are tshuvos in Poskim about similar type, uh, cases.

And even if he does have another job, it's called schar batala if he does this on the, on the, uh, side.

And that is why the, the, uh, Rama quotes in Yoreh Deah, Resh Mem Vav, that it's mutar.

I'm not gonna read that inside, but all you gotta know is about the teshuva of Rav Moshe.

Rav Moshe in Yoreh Deah, Beis Kuf Tes Zayin.

"Be'inyan kabbalas pras laparnasasam meihakol olim k'desh yuchlu lizkar ba'Torah." See, he discusses this.

But that's just a one-day difference, meaning, uh, it, prior to the second day of Pesach, it is all asur.

So, uh, if it's a mitzvah d'oraisa, why are we meikel? Why are so many people meikel? So the Rama has a famous comment in Yoreh De'ah, Siman Reish Sad He Gimel, um, where he says that you could be meikel on Chadash because of a Sfeik Sfeika.

One is maybe the grain was planted before the 16th day of Nisan, and, uh, and, and maybe, uh, even if it was planted after the 16th day of Nisan, maybe it's from a previous year.

So it's a little bit difficult.

Is it Chadash or is it Yashan? That doesn't seem to be a double Sefek.

But, uh, that's what the Rama writes.

The Bach in Yoreh De'ah on the spat says that, uh, that in, uh, in, in Poland, almost everyone was meikel about Chadash, and he gives a number of Rishonim who say that Chadash doesn't apply if the grain grows in, uh, in a field that's, uh, that's owned by a Nachri.

And he tries to defend that, and he quotes the Gemara in Rosh Hashanah that, uh, that you're not allowed to bring Korban Omer from barley that grew in a field by, uh, that, that, that's owned by a Nachri.

He says that it's the obligation of every community- To support the learning, the people who learn Torah, to support those that teach Torah, because if we won't have that system of people learning Torah and teaching Torah, then we won't have a world of Torah.

And in fact, the Beit Yosef in Yoreh Deah, Siman Reish Mem Vov, Divrei Hamas Kol Mas Kosov Kolamaysim, says that it was never the meaning in Klal Yisro to follow the Rambam, because if we're not going to have a system where people teach other people Torah, then we won't have Torah in Klal Yisro, and we won't have a system of Yeshivas and Rabbonim.

And that's the opinion that the Bach and the Shah and the Taz take.

And so too, says the Chasam Sofer in the Sha'al S'chuvah of Chasam Sofer, Choshe Mishpat Siman Kuf Samach Dalet, that every community is obligated to appoint somebody who's always available to teach Torah to Klal Yisro.

But, says the Bach, and the Mashal says the same, this that we're giving a heter to pay Rabbonim, like Yiddishurim, is only as much as they need to live.

He says an Abbezdin has a heter to take more than he needs, because there's a special point that the Abbezdin, he says, should be wealthy that he should be able to command the proper respect.

Moreover, the Ramah in Shulchan Aruch Yoreh Deah Siman Reish Mem Vov Sif Kot Nachaf Alef says when you give payment to Talmid HaChacham it should be a steady payment.

But not that they should live off gifts that are not steady.

Then he has the dinim of paar shin and paar zokan.

So the, the-- In Yoreh Deah, the second Halach Yoreh Deah, when they have all these dinim.

So the Taz, the Taz says, [clears throat] Taz quotes the Gemara that if he shaves off my payot, I get malkes.

So you see, whenever the pul is done on my body, even though it's a ein yochol, ze yochol ve'ze ein yochol, it does relate to me.
