I see Logan in the chat pointing out, yeah, to make Yooka-Laylee, right? Which Yooka-Laylee is a fantastic game.

Everyone go check that out if you do miss that.

I just don't think that's the studio anymore.

say the only game that didn't really mesh their styles in a very coherent way was Yooka-Laylee but at the same time that almost felt like that was okay there because it just felt like a celebration of all of this stuff and so you have that weird kind of disparity that like mishmash collage style.

and even the premise of the game sort of works in favor of that.

... are the two that get referenced all the time.

I mean, Shov- like, uh, was it Shovel Knight shows up in Yooka-Laylee as a character-

... just randomly.

So I'm just like, I'm like, oh, I'm not going to waste my fucking breath now.

But like, I was about to say, like, and like, fortunately, Laylee's just nice.

She's just like, she just stepped to the side.

She's like, don't worry about it.

Continuing with the Nintendo 64 slash Rareware guests, you know, he's obviously been a part of so many important games from Rare, Banjo-Kazooie and stuff over the years.

But what's cool is Chris is working with Playtonic now, who does the Yooka-Laylee games, which are just... you know, celebrations and continuations of those games, the types of games we loved.

So, uh, he's an excellent guest and, you know, it's exciting cause it's tied into the stuff we're celebrating, uh, and celebrating the Nintendo 64, uh, theming that we have going on.

But, uh, you know, knowing that, like, I just love having these active developers that are, you know, still working in the industry all these years later.

But I still wanted something original from David Wise because, like I said, he inspired this theme.
