Hello, and welcome to the latest episode of the Museum of Welsh Cricket podcasts.

This week on the podcast, we chat to Paul Discombe about his match-winning performance for Ynysawdre Cricket Club in the Village Cup in 2001.

The Village Cup, currently sponsored by Corston Press and supported by "The Cricketer Magazine," has been the premier cup competition for village cricket teams since 1972.

It culminates each September with a final at the home of cricket, Lord's Cricket Ground in London.

It's, it's, yeah, sort of stuck over the years.

Your name came to my, uh, attention when I, uh, visited Ynysawdre maybe, what, three, four years ago to record an episode of the podcast with the people there.

Did you always play for Ynysawdre, or w- w- was your cricket sort of developed or born somewhere else?
