[drum roll] This is a story that the Maggid of Kozhnitz would tell his Hasidim, Rabbi Yisroel Hopstein, who lived from 1737 to 1814, also known as the Kozhnitzer Maggid.

Once in a small Jewish village in Poland, the rabbi of the community was dying.

And the whole town, about 2,000 Jews, gathered around his house and waited.

He looked normal.

He sank down heavily into his seat, and he was a cured man.
