Yerry Mina

Maldini struck a clean, decisive finish past Guglielmo Vicario, and following a brief pause for a VR confirmation, the goal was officially awarded.

Juventus attempted to assert themselves before the break through vertical attempts by Nicolás González and Francisco Conceição, but Cagliari's defensive line, anchored by veteran Yerry Mina and Juan Rodríguez, remained impenetrable throughout the opening 45 minutes.

Desperate for an offensive spark, the Juventus coaching staff executed tactical adjustments at the interval, introducing Karim Al-Ajjij Gavic and Edin Žegrova off the bench.

The substitutions completely altered the momentum of the contest as Juventus established overwhelming territorial control and set up a relentless siege around the Cagliari 18-yard box.

Is there even many six foot five Colombians? Colombia is not really known for height, is it?

Yerry Mina.

[clears throat] Never mind.

[laughs] John Lukeu, mate.

It was the first World Cup penalty shootout England had ever won.

It was a, a game that England effectively had to win twice because they'd got it won and then Yerry Mina scored right at the end of the 90 minutes.

It went to extra time.

Then in the shootout, England were a goal down at, after three kicks each.

Yeah.

Yeah, and we get, we get another visit with our old, uh, annoying friend, Yerry Mina, so that's always fun.

Oh, God, he is just a pest.

[laughs]

I also feel like I should acknowledge why I'm wearing this jersey.

It is a Yerry Mina jersey from Columbia.

My dad got it for me for my birthday.

It used to say, "Why Mina?" Now it just says, "Mina," but so people used to always use it as a meme when I did something dumb on the internet.

Mina's birthday.

Yerry Mina's

birthday yesterday.

Do you celebrate it every year?
