It's far too wet and she can't even hear herself think.

Yellowfang tells Bluestar to stop complaining.

She chose this place because it's damp and noisy.

She has things to say that she doesn't want any other cat to overhear.

There's a dry spot.

If this is dry, then I'm a mouse, Bluestar says as she sits next to him.

Well, Yellowfang, what is it? Yellowfang says the prophecy has not been fulfilled.

The three have come together at last, but two of the cats might not recognize the third.

He's ready to help the old cat cross the gap, but getting down from the rock is way easier than getting up, and Skye lands with all four paws firmly on the trail, and Firestar lets him take the lead to the cave.

As he walks behind, Firestar realizes that Skye reminds him of Yellowfang.

He has the same proud reserve as the former medicine cat, he's uncomfortable and prickly around other cats, but he shares Yellowfang's strength and deep commitment to her clan.

He also has all the qualities of a true warrior, courage, faith, and loyalty to his clan.

Everything he had learned was based only on tales told to him by his mother, but he is SkyClan from nose to the tip of his tail, even though he's never been a part of a real clan.

He's barely settled down when Sandstorm reappears with a mouse in her jaws.

She crosses the cave and lays it down in front of him.

Skye reaches out with one paw and pokes at it and says, "'A bit skinny, isn't it?' Before Sandstorm can even say anything, he drags the mouse closer and devours it rapidly." Sandstorm glanced at Firestar, her eyes glimmering with laughter and mouthed, Yellowfang.

Which was hilarious.

But, I mean, she looked at Yellowfang and was like, that's never how that's happened.

Is that true? And Yellowfang's like, it doesn't matter.

... uh, and Leafpool's trying to do it, and then whoop, here she comes.

It's our girl, Yellowfang, who is like, "Hey, I might be toxic, but I'm not gonna let you die.

Uh, whoop, whoop, but I can, I can help."

I like to think that that was-

... like a little, that was a move from Miss Yellowfang, who is, we've known to have a little bit of a gray, a gray sort of moral, moral compass.

I saw it in the future in that pool." And it didn't even give her, like, a second to really process that.

She's like, "Um," and then, like, ha- she's like went back to sleep.

[laughs] Then Leafpool turns to Yellowfang and is like, "Um, that's not how any of this has ever worked." And we know it was a lie based on a lot of that, and, and Yellowfang just kinda like, "Mm, mm, mm." [clicks tongue] And-
