Yegor Sharangovich

Like, w- when we're talking about guys who have kind of that upward mobility, and it, it's why we talk about guys who are under pressure.

Like, this is, this is where the pressure is on, like, Zary and Sharangovich and stuff like that.

Like, it'll come in March and, and, uh, maybe April with the, the college kids, depending on who all comes up and how the season goes, obviously.

But we're anticipating a slew of guys coming in.

Mm.

But it's not just those dudes.

It's like, if Sam Honzik reaches the level that we think Sam Honzik can reach, that's past what Sharangovich has done.

That's past what-

Just off the top of my head, like, I don't think Zary's playing his way off of his, this team or anything like that.

I don't think Sharangovich is either.

I, I don't see anything like that happening.

So I, I guess if, if there was a couple of centers to, to, like, burst through, like Rory Karons just has the camp of his life, and then whoever else [laughs] like Honzik, uh, has been putting in a lot of work and now he is the center too.

I don't know where the roster spot is for him.

Would a guy like Ryan Huska be comfortable sitting Adam Klopka or Pospisil or Siplikov or Sharangovich or Zeri? Would he be willing to sit multiple of those players in order to get Sunyev into the lineup? I mean, Sunyev would have to light up the preseason and training camp to even push for that kind of role, but...

I just I really liked what I saw from him last year.

And I do think he'll play in the NHL at some point this year, you know, whether it's injuries or trades or whatever, whatever happens.

Can you move him for something? I would like to see Conor Zeri get another opportunity.

I know there's some people out there who think that it's over, but if it doesn't work out this year again, even moving Zeri for a third or a fourth, I think you should just do it to open up the spot.

Can you somehow move a Yegor Sharangovich? Could you move a Martin Pospisil? I'd throw Adam Klapka in the mix.

Maybe even a Joel Farabee.

And so what you're left with is you have three NHL centers and way too many wingers still with Huberto out.

And I look at Farabee and Sharangovich as the two guys.

Like, Klopp is not on, or Klopp

is there, but Pospisil's, like, he's not going to play if he's a winger.

'Cause if you, 'cause what-

'Cause you're not putting Sharangovich at center.

'Cause you're not looking to fill another fourth line fucking winger.

No, but, but if he-

... before I would sit a kid.

I'm just saying it's not that hard to get him in the top nine on the wing.

Like, if he played on a line with Strome and Sharangovich, is that enough for you to say he had a chance to establish value in the middle? Or are you like, "Oh, he didn't give anyone to play with."

I would, I would say-

He can come into this season hip pain-free.

And all of a sudden, he's getting more out of a Farabee or a Sharangovich or a Zeri or something like that.

And he's boosting these guys.

And he himself is actually playing a pretty effective role and helping these kids kind of develop.
