Yasser Ibrahim

Let's take a look at the central defenders first and populate the list with the candidates.

Two definite candidates here, Yasser Ibrahim and Hamdi Fati, both of those selected for the final squad.

And we have three likely candidates, also all selected for the squad.

It is Hossam Abdel Maguid, Rami Rabiaz, And sorry, no, not all of them were selected for the squad.

Just recently, though, he had only been a possible candidate coming into the 2025 African Cup, selected for the squad and a starter, as we saw.

He also started both games in March of 2026.

So Yasser Ibrahim becoming an important central defender in his later years, the later years of his career here.

The other definite candidate is Hamdi Fathi.
